Trever Cartwright, Partner

Trever’s work focuses primarily on helping client organizations get clear, get focused and get moving on their most important strategic, organizational and operational challenges. He also facilitates high-stakes, issue-based discussions with diverse stakeholder groups where reaching a common ground is imperative in order to move forward.

Trever works across multiple industry categories, including Healthcare, Energy, Legal and Government. His clients have included Oregon Health & Science University, Port of Portland, Perkins Coie, Sacramento County and San Francisco Travel Association.

The founding partner of Coraggio Group, Trever’s diverse background includes nearly 10 years as co-owner of an advertising agency, and the leader of the national sales force for a Fortune 50 company. He is a published author and has been a guest lecturer at Harvard and Stanford Law schools, University of Oregon, Portland State University and for numerous professional associations, including the Association of Legal Administrators, Society for Human Resource Management, and the International Quality and Productivity Center.

Michelle Janke, Partner

Michelle advises leaders on strategy, marketing and organizational development. Her areas of expertise include strategic alignment, business planning, leadership development and marketing strategy. Michelle’s work centers around helping organizations to establish a strategy, communicate it well and align organizational systems and processes to make it happen.

Michelle joined Coraggio after six years as a management consultant in Europe. Prior to this she was an Engagement Manager with McKinsey and Company in San Francisco. She has worked internationally with top executives at retail, consumer goods, logistics and technology companies on a broad range of strategic, marketing, organizational and operational topics. She also spent more than 10 years in finance and marketing management roles at The Walt Disney Company, Bertelsmann and Deutsche Bank.

Michelle has an M.B.A. from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley and a B.A. in International Relations from Mount Holyoke College. She is fluent in German.

Craig Trames, Principal

Craig is a leader in facilitating effective change, strategic planning, brand clarity and business innovation. Over the past 20 years, Craig has taken on a wide range of roles with an emphasis on marketing, sales and product development, 11 years of which were spent at Nike. Afterward, Craig served as CEO of Pacific Crest Outward Bound School where he oversaw the complete brand overhaul for Outward Bound USA.

Holly Valkama, Principal

Holly works with organizations to establish and redesign business processes and organizational structures to align with their strategic direction. Holly has worked at an executive level for over 10 years, across a broad range of industries in both the manufacturing and services sectors. Throughout her career, she has led numerous successful implementations of Lean and Six Sigma in global organizations. She is passionate about integrating continuous improvement into organizational cultures and strengthening the competitiveness of organizations by linking process and strategy. Holly has an M.B.A. from The Wharton School in Operations Management and Strategy and a B.B.A. in Finance and Economics from Loyola University.

Matthew Landkamer, Principal

Matthew helps clients think through, better understand and then take action on their most important strategy, organizational change, and brand challenges. His art and design background, combined with hands-on business experience, allows him to bring a unique balance of creative design thinking and strategic rigor to each of his client engagements. He is a skilled facilitator and problem solver with an impressive ability to start the conversations that need to be had inside organizations, and among organizational leaders—
the kind of conversations that lead to valuable insights, bold thinking and needed results.

Matthew has spent 15 years leading marketing and strategy initiatives for organizations of all sizes from large companies to small, entrepreneurial ventures. Before joining Coraggio, he was a leader of the marketing group at a Seattle-based global design firm.

Matthew is a dedicated painter and exhibits regularly in the Pacific Northwest.

Susan Kerosky, Principal

With an emphasis on helping our clients to capture opportunities and adapt to new business environments, Susan helps leaders think through critical strategic decisions and implement complex organizational change initiatives.

As a self-declared “transformation junkie”, she has led large-scale transformation efforts as an internal corporate leader and as a trusted advisor to clients across a wide range of industry sectors.  During Susan’s career, she has provided expert guidance and counsel to CEOs and senior leaders, helping organizations to achieve new levels of effectiveness through new work processes and systems, culture transformations and by creating high performing teams.

Susan has more than 25 years’ experience in finance, operations management and organizational development.  She spent more than seven years as an internal change leader at Nike, most recently as the lead for Nike’s Global Procurement organization where transformation efforts under her leadership quadrupled the value delivered to the company.

Susan has a business degree from Purdue University and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). She is also Certified in Financial Management (CFM).

Greg Netzer, Principal

Greg brings a unique mix of pragmatic business understanding and creative problem solving to clients, and excels at helping organizations gain clarity on their strategy, stakeholder outreach, and brand issues. He has over 20 years experience leading and managing organizations, with extensive work in strategic communications, sustainability and social responsibility engagement, stakeholder relationships, and strategic planning in both corporate and nonprofit settings.

Greg has worked with leaders at some of the world’s most recognized companies, such as Microsoft, NBCUniversal, Hasbro, Nike, and Tiffany & Co., to help engage with their key stakeholder groups. Greg is also an award-winning writer who has covered business, sports, and culture for a variety of regional and national newspapers and magazines, from The New York Times Magazine to Portland Monthly to Parenting, as well as thought leadership, essays, book reviews, investigative journalism, and fiction.

Greg has an M.F.A. in English from the University of Michigan, and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Missouri.

Lisa Ard, Senior Consultant

A Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Lisa’s primary area of focus is designing and implementing comprehensive process improvement solutions to help organizations realize their full potential. Lisa guides organizations in identifying the right steps to improve quality, decrease cycle time, eliminate costs and ultimately, to exceed customer expectations. Lisa’s work emphasizes the important role of leadership in creating and reinforcing a culture of continuous improvement inside their organizations by linking strategy and behaviors to needed change.

In addition to working several years as an independent consultant, Lisa brings 15 years of corporate experience, in the areas of finance and quality, working with companies such as Kodak and Ceridian. Her process improvement work has targeted back-end and customer-facing processes, particularly in the finance, legal, sales and marketing areas.

Lisa has a Masters in International Business Studies (MIBS) from the University of South Carolina and a B.A. in German Area Studies from the University of Washington.

Slater Swan, Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst with our firm, Slater dives in to fully understand each project through methodical and thorough research and analytics. Using a myriad of techniques, he collects data in order to conduct in-depth market, competitive, strategic and organizational analyses. After interpreting his findings, Slater communicates his insights to our consultant teams and our clients in a clear, straight forward way that helps with strategic decision making, prioritization and implementation work.

Prior to joining Coraggio, Slater worked closely on consulting projects that focused on developing marketing and operational strategies for several nonprofit and social enterprises. He also brings nearly 10 years of leadership experience in the outdoor education industry, the last three of which were spent as the director of a summer camp program in Oregon.

Slater has an M.B.A. from Portland State University and a B.S. from Oregon State University.

Angela Swensen, Associate

Angela helps to keep all of us and our many client engagements coordinated and running smoothly, plus our internal processes and systems on course. An excellent communicator, Angela brings a solid background in client relations and project management to the firm. With a BA in Journalism, and double minors in Business Administration and Communication Studies from the University of Oregon, how people think and why they do the things they do have always interested her. She successfully completed the Hertz Management Training Program and then went on to apply her natural talent for people development at a Portland-based communications training firm.

John Childers, Senior Consultant

John earned his JD at UCLA and began his career practicing law at a national firm. He has been a strategic advisor to law firms and organizations for nearly 15 years and is listed in Lawdragon’s 100 Legal Consultants You Need to Know.

John completed the top advanced degree program in the US that combines strategy and leadership development—Pepperdine University’s Master of Science in Organization Development. While there, John wrote his master’s thesis on culture clash in mergers. After helping to build McMorrowSavarese, the top law firm consulting practice in California, John opened the Los Angeles office for Hildebrandt International. At the time, Hildebrandt was the largest global consulting firm focused on law firms.

John understands the decision-making challenges within organizations of all sizes and offers his clients a highly developed expertise in group facilitation. In any consulting engagement, John helps firms put the most critical and challenging issues on the table and deal with them constructively.

John is adjunct faculty at the Justice Leadership Institute at the U.S. Department of Justice and is often a featured speaker and facilitator at retreats and industry events.

Susan Dunn, Senior Counsel

Susan helps organizations build their effectiveness through strategy, organization and leadership development.

She began her consulting career at McKinsey & Company where she partnered with various Fortune 500 organizations as they developed their strategic plans.  Susan left McKinsey to sharpen her expertise in implementing and engaging leaders in strategy.   She worked as a Director of Customer Satisfaction at Mazda Motors and as an organization development specialist at People Tech consulting.  Prior to joining Coraggio Susan was a partner in the talent practice at Mercer where she worked for 12 years as a specialist in leadership and front line development.

Susan is also an active researcher.  She has published articles on the measurement of leadership quality, has conducted research on millenialization and has developed a leadership development game for which she has a patent in her name.

Susan has a BSc in Computer Science, a Masters in Public Administration, a Masters in Organization Development and a PhD. in Human Development.
